Video: Dear Police, last Saturday….

Having carried out an unannounced performance in the city centre of Antwerp and desperately in search of footage that can give him a new perspective on his own action that night, he tries to get in touch with the local police of Antwerp. Since the performance took place right beneath a police crowd security camera line-up he asks the legal department of the police whether it would be possible to come by and have a personel viewing of the camera images.

Just after he was recognized and asked by members of the local Hasidic Jewish community in the streets of Antwerp whether he was ”by any chance Jewish” he started to doubt his own background and foremost his public appearance. Could his ‘jewish curly hair’ ( as his mother always used to proclaim) made him now a target for semitism, and worse, anti-semitism?

He decides to get rid of his ‘jewish appearance’ and enter the dangerous nightlife at saturday evening in the midst of the crowd after the worldcup football matches on tv in the bars , discotheques and restaurants.

After taken a photograph from the wall from his new studio and used it as a example for an art drawing he suddenly realized that the photo was not his and more probably was owned by one of his, and just met, fellow-artists. From here the story unravels.

In a city which is famous for her fashion and for always is bound to The Six of Antwerp ( the famous group who changed and reinvented fashion during the eighties) he takes up the position of ‘The Seventh’. Not inflicted by too much knowledge and with a lot of admiration he creates his own fashion line and plans to give a big show in this city of fashion, Antwerp.
