In the art expo ‘I Hate Fish,’ my journey as an artist is showcased in a lighthearted manner while I, as a Dutchman, try to gain a foothold in the art world of Antwerp. The backdrop features the burgeoning civil protests in Europe. When I receive an inheritance and give up my existence as a modern wage slave, almost mentally and physically burned out, it provides me with a unique perspective on both sides of the divide between the “haves” and the “have-nots.”
The show was held during The Antwerp Art Weekend 2024. The insight in my life as an artist, after loosing both my parents, lead to personal and open talks with the public.
The photos show the work as well as the public visiting the show
